Starting solids… let’s talk about it! Now, I’ll preface that I am NOT an expert in this field. But, that’s exactly why I want to write about our experience. It didn’t matter how many accounts I followed or recipes I looked up… at the end of the day I had to follow my baby’s lead and honor the process. If you’ve ever felt lost or stressed about those first spoonfuls (or currently going through it!), consider this your validation: you’re not alone, and you’ve got this.

We first introduced Keira to solids around the 6-month mark. But, it really wasn’t until 8-9 months that we found a consistent rhythm. Keira is now 10 months old, and I can finally say I feel sooo much better about it.

So, here’s what I wish I knew, what I’ve learned, what we’re eating (lots of easy, no-recipe ideas to batch and freeze), and everything else on this brain of mine… this is my unofficial, non-expert “guide” to solids for the overwhelmed mom. I see you, I am you, haha.
