Issue #7: 8 Things I Wish I Knew During the Newborn Stage

I know I have some expecting first-time mamas subscribed here, so I wanted to round up some words of encouragement... some things I've learned now that I'm on the other side.
I'm almost eight months into this motherhood journey with Kiwi. In some ways, it feels like she’s always been a part of our little fam. And other days, I glance at her sleeping face and think, “Wait…I'm actually someone's mother?” Then I tear up because she isn’t a little potato anymore.
If you, my friend, are getting ready to meet your sweet baby, I want to infuse alllll the encouragement and positivity I can, because it really is such a cozy, beautiful time. You'll hear it a million times, but it goes by sooo fast. Even as someone who was certain they were being as present as possible and had all the privileges of taking time off from work.... I still find myself wondering where the time went and what I would give to just go back and hold my little bao bun for the day.
Of course, I'm obsessed with this stage too. But there was something so sweet, so sacred about those first 12 weeks.
So, here goes... things I wish I knew.
